My client; a world leading art business with tie's across Europe, Asia and America currently has an urgent requirement for an "Application support analyst". This is a permanent role to be based in London. This role has come about through company growth and it is an exciting time to join their organisation. The purpose of your role is 2nd line application support for all internal company systems. You will be based in the Application Support department, the main aspect of the role is to assist in maintaining and supporting existing and future systems, primarily the core client System (Siebel), and Inventory System (Property). Your duties will include: •Provide support to the world-wide user community for all applications as required, especially to give advice and direction, recommend on-system and off-system solutions to issues, problem-solve and design and deliver work-flows to ensure best practice. •Ensuring that user issues are given a permanent resolution in the shortest possible time. •Uploading and downloading data from various sources in order to provide management analysis. •Provide ad-hoc at-desk user training for systems when required. •Provide functional and business process analysis for system modifications, bug-fixes, updates, upgrades and other related projects. Your technical skills should include: •Degree caliber or equivalent work experience with exposure to at least one of the applications listed above. •Experience in a user support environment. •Fully conversant with Microsoft 2002 products, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint. •Exposure to Microsoft Access, Project and Visio would be an advantage but are not essential.
