My client, a large complex Government organisation based in London, have an immediate requirement for a Programme Planner. The successful candidate will be central to the forward planning of change across the organisation playing a core role in the delivery of the clients higher profile projects. You will be working very closely with the Strategic Directors and Heads of Depts to help determine the correct portfolio of projects and support the scoping of work and preparing quality delivery plans. It is an extremely important role with enormous impact, demanding fully realised planning, negotiation and leadership skills. Your career to date should demonstrate your ability to develop intellectually demanding plans that cut across projects and disciplines whilst engaging colleagues across the organisation and beyond. Above all, you will bring a track record at the highest level of management within a very complex environment giving you everything you need to make a real and measurable difference from day one. In order to be successful you must have experience as an out and out planner and not a project manager that can plan! Budget management and stakeholder engagement is a prerequisite along with developing project plans using MS Project, ensuring the plans have a closed network, critical paths and are fully resourced.
