Technical Manager – Cognos 8. My Ashford (Middlesex) based client is a major provider of health and care service globally, seeking an experienced Technical Manager to manage the delivery of all software components for a wide portfolio of projects within the Business Intelligence (B.I) space. The Technical Manager will utilise key technology knowledge to provide key technical leadership on current projects (ensuring timely and quality delivery), develop in the long term a structured and disciplined framework for the development of all BI projects within the business, manage third parties, manage the day to day development activities of on-shore resources (including performance management), liaise closely with off-shore resources, and ensuring that development environments are managed according to SLAs. Successful candidates will possess: - Proven experience of delivering and building BI systems - Multiple projects experience (qualification preferred) - Solid understanding of the full development lifecycle - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to engage at senior level - Team management experience - Knowledge of service management principles (ITIL) - Working knowledge of OLAP Cognos 8 and Cognos 7.x, and TeraData Capita Resourcing is a trading name of Capita Resourcing Ltd.
